The two heavens this app treats as zodiacal: the Eighth (Muzaloth), which holds the twelve houses and the cosmic schedule, and the Ninth (Kuchavim), which holds the fixed stars the houses are drawn against.
Why two, and not one
2 Enoch separates the machinery from the backdrop. The Eighth Heaven, Muzaloth, is the changer of the seasons and the place of the twelve houses — the moving frame. The Ninth Heaven, Kuchavim, holds the fixed stars and the constellations themselves — the unmoving frame. A zodiac sign is a division of the first measured against the second, which is why the app counts two zodiac realms rather than folding them together.
The distinction is not decorative. Precession — the slow drift of the equinox against the stars — is precisely the gap between these two frames, and it is why the tropical zodiac used in modern horoscopes has slipped roughly 24° from the constellations whose names it still uses.
What the sources say
2 Enoch 21:6, 22 names Muzaloth and Kuchavim in Enoch’s ascent. Job 38:32 names the Mazzaroth, the term traditionally read as the zodiacal constellations in their seasons. Genesis 1:14 gives the lights of the firmament “for signs, and for seasons” — the scriptural warrant for cosmic timekeeping, and the verse that separates it from divination, which Deuteronomy 4:19 and Isaiah 47:13 forbid.
