Later record Ramesside, c. 1200 BC

A hieratic papyrus king-list opening with dynasties of gods, followed by akhu (blessed dead), then human kings with reign lengths.

The most important single source for Egyptian chronology, and it survives in fragments — the papyrus was damaged after acquisition and its reassembly is still contested. A foundational document that is physically broken.

Standing: Written well after the events, from tradition or earlier copies.
