Scripture

Amorite king defeated by Israel immediately before Og. Scripture does not call him a giant, but he is paired with Og so consistently in the conquest narrative that rabbinic tradition (Deuteronomy Rabbah, Niddah 61a) treats the two as brothers of the same lineage. Listed here so the tradition is visible and labelled as tradition.

Named in the Hebrew Bible or New Testament canon. Heights are given only where the text gives them, in the text’s own units.
