Modern record First hand

The tallest living man. His growth was caused by a pituitary tumour, halted by gamma-knife radiosurgery at the University of Virginia in 2010 - the first successful arrest of gigantism in a documented case of this magnitude. Measured under Guinness protocol on multiple occasions.

People of giant stature measured under modern conditions, with a named cause where one is known. This is the only class on the page where the height itself is verified.
