Tradition

The first being, formed from the meeting of ice and fire. Slain by Odin, Vili and Ve, who made the earth from his flesh, the sea from his blood, the sky from his skull and the mountains from his bones. The Norse cosmos is literally built out of a giant.

Named in Greek, Roman, Norse, Islamic, Celtic and Asian tradition. Recorded as tradition, not asserted as history.
